On leaving university Rory began his career with Arthur Andersen in 1999, working in their Financial Markets Division, and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2002. He continued in accountancy for a further year with RSM Robson Rhodes before leaving in 2003 to begin his own Financial Services company, specialising in asset backed finance. He served Indigo Mortgage Brokers until 2008 as Finance Director, before being invited to join MASECO Financial at the beginning of 2009. Rory has a BA Hons in Economics, ACA, CeFA and US Series 65 exams.
Mark is an experienced investment consultant who has been in the UK since 2009. A US national, Mark has worked at a number of US financial institutions, most recently spending 6 years at MetLife before moving to the UK. Taking a break from financial services in 1994 Mark joined the family business, a wine merchant, which he successfully sold in 2001 after focusing the business on high quality products and increasing sales. Mark and his wife moved to the UK in 2009 and joined MASECO in March 2010. Mark is currently studying for a PhD in Finance and has the following UK and US qualifications: CIMA, IMC, Cert PFS, CRPS, CLTC.
Ashley is an experienced financial planner who has worked in US and UK financial services for 5 years. A US national, Ashley gained comprehensive experience of US financial planning with MetLife from 2006 until she moved to the UK with her husband in 2009. Ashley is currently studying for a Financial Planning Diploma and also has the following qualifications: BA/BSc Psychology and Education Studies; US Series 7, 63 & 65 Investment Advice Licensed; Life & Health Licensed; UK CF 1-3.
Barry has over nine years experience advising high net worth individuals, families and trusts on their wealth including investment, tax planning and pensions advice. He worked for seven years in the Wealth Advisory team at PricewaterhouseCoopers providing investment, financial and tax planning advice. He completed a dissertation examining active and passive investment management as part of his MBA from the University of Nottingham Business School. Barry holds the IMC, the ATT tax qualification and the Diploma in Financial Planning exams. His interests include rugby, Gaelic football and golf.
Prior to joining MASECO in 2010 Leighton was an investment manager and branch principal at Raymond James, where he continues to work serving his existing clients. Previously, Leighton was senior vice president of investments from 1993 at Prudential-Bache Securities (part of Prudential Securities (U.S.) which later became Wachovia) in London where he managed or advised on segregated investment portfolios. Prior to this, he spent five years at PaineWebber, Boston (now UBS). Leighton holds a BSc. in finance and an MBA both attained at Brigham Young University (Utah, U.S.).
